Anteks Weaving & Finishing
|
The foundation stone of the weaving
plant was laid on 1991 and
production began in 1992. Production
commenced at 20.000 metres per day
of grey cloth. The finishing factory
was planned immediately after
operation of the weaving plant in
order to offer finished cloth to the
world market. This was completed in
1993. Additional looms were
purchased in 1997 and again in 2001
bringing the capacity to 1.000.000
metres a month of finished fabric.
Currently, 2.000 kg of yarn is being
folded and twisted on a daily basis.
6.000 kg of yarn is dyed on fully
automated machinary. With an average
weft density of 29/cm the weaving
shed produced around 40.000 metres
of grey cloth per day on 200 rapier
and air jet looms. In the finishing
mill all the grey cloth is dyed and
finished using the very latest
technology.
At the end of 1997 the finishing
factory entered into brand new
markets with the addition of a
coating unit and an ammonia plant to
produce non-iron fabrics. |
